I have this Depeche Mode song swimming in my head.  I have been to this house so many times now, and each time it just gets better and better.  I love the light and the structure and even the little buggies who like to take up residence on my clients. 

I met Lesley at the gym where I workout, Greer Athletic Club.  She and her sister, Laura take care of my babies for me while I work out.  She was just a beautiful and fun to work with as her sister.  Thank you Leslie!

Downtown Greer is full of interesting old doorways and buildings.  All of the nooks and crannies it has to offer makes for some fabulous photo opportunities.

I originally found the burned out house when Allison suggested we use it to do a bridal session for her.  She found me on Facebook and told me about it… When I saw if for myself, I was so excited to do the shoot, I could hardly stand it.  The light is gorgeous… She is gorgeous…

Allison has actually been married for a year already and she wanted to do something nice for her husband.  His birthday is coming and she wanted to surprise him with a portrait.  She had her hair and makeup done, she met me for the shoot…. Then she couldn’t stand it anymore.  She told him!  I don’t blame her.  I couldn’t have kept it to myself either.

Ok, so I’M not burned out… this awesome house is… yeah, that was dumb, I know…

I was asked recently to do a photo shoot at this house.  I drove around Blue Ridge looking for it and when I found it, I fell in love!  It’s an old, burned out house.  There is a date, August 1942 scratched in the cement of the window sill.  There are all kinds of creatures living in and around it.  Little Miss C had crickets and ladybugs and grasshoppers taking up residence in her tutu…

What a beautiful place.. Sadly, it will  have brand-new homes built up around it in the near future…

I met Miss Morgan at the school my daughter attends.  She was helping with field day, and when I saw her, I just knew she would be perfect for photographing.  She readily agreed to a photo shoot, so I called my friend, Kimberly Webb-Gibson of Butterfly House Studio.  We had the best time shooting Morgan.  We went to Furman University, which is a gorgeous location for photographs.  Thank you, ladies, for a fantastic afternoon!

So Burt Green is this girl who friended me on Facebook.  She takes really funny photos, which I love to browse through periodically.  One of her albums had a bunch of photos that included this really awesome wall in Downtown Spartanburg, right outside of  Hub Bub, a place for and artists and musicians.  Matt and I have been living here for almost four years, and had yet to explore Spartanburg, which is only 20 miles from us.  So we got up this morning and went.  I love it there.  We would have stayed to explore more than we did, but my kiddos were uncooperative AND the power steering pump on my van went… So home we went after the short outing.  Anyway, thank you Burt Green.  This place is too cool.

I met Laura at Greer Athletic Club, the gym where I work out.  She works in the nursery where she takes care of my babies.  I am so excited about these photos.  Laura and Brian were so much fun to photograph.  They have a sense of humor and weren’t afraid to have a great time.  I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed shooting them.

I never get a Mommy Day, just me and my little boy.  Daddy takes better advantage of that.  My dear daughter spent the night out at a friend’s house and my hubby had to work on Saturday, so I was able to have a date with my little guy.  We went to this really cool park in Duncan, right next to the new water park Shipwreck Cove.  We had lunch and ice cream at McDonald’s and then went to a friend’s house to play.  Totally. Awesome. Day.

My little boy goes to a wonderful school… Because of safety, I won’t say the name, but if you are in need of EXCELLENT preschool, please message me and I’ll pass the info along. Anyway, I was able to photograph the most beautiful group of children EVER!  Enjoy!?
