So ready for Spring
Posted on January 27, 2010
It has been so cold here. Unusually cold. We finally had a break recently and the weather was gorgeous. I took the kids outside; they picnicked and rode bikes… The neighbors and their children came out to play. It lasted for a day.. and we soaked it all in. I can’t wait for Spring to get here!
It’s time to go home…

A little bit of Hope
Posted on January 26, 2010
It’s been so long since I’ve posted. It’s not that things haven’t been happening….It’s the opposite. I’ve been so busy. School, work, kids, family, life… Hence the post at 5:45 in the morning!
Here is Hope. Her mom is a friend of mine. I had the BEST time at her Bat Mitzvah.

Cliffie’s Day
Posted on January 2, 2010
Cliffie had his first play date today. Poor guy. He always has to settle for playing with Gwyn and her play dates… His friend from school came over today. They played in his room, with the Wii, and on the bounce house.
See you later!

I Heart Faces: Hilarious Outtakes!
Posted on December 30, 2009
I didn’t have any recent photos that I thought would be good for this week’s challenge… so I dug and dug through my thousands of files on my computer. These were taken on Halloween. They are of my neighbors’ children… It’s not the first one that cracks me up… It’s the second. I was trying to get a good shot of Augustine, but brother Silas just couldn’t stand to not be in the picture.
The Great Silini!
Trying to make his sister disappear…
Come on over to I Heart Faces to see some more hilarious outtakes!

Mice On Main
Posted on December 20, 2009
This past week, I took my kindergarten class on a field trip to find the Mice on Main in downtown Greenville. Craziest trip ever!!! Mice on Main is an art project where eight bronze mice are hidden along Main Street. Clues to where the mice are hidden are supposssed to help in finding them. Some were easier to find than others. The kids had a great time… Me? I wouldn’t mind going on a trip to a small place, with a fence to keep them all together. A little stressed is putting it lightly!

My babies
Posted on December 7, 2009
These are my babies. My older one is 6 and my younger one will be 4 in January. They are the absolute hardest subjects I have ever had to take photos of. They don’t listen. They act like goofs. I have to bribe them. Total pains-in-the-butts. They are totally awesome. They make my day just right.
Here are the little buggers.

Good Friends
Posted on November 30, 2009
Shannon and her family came to visit yesterday. I hadn’t seen Shannon and her family in a long time, even though they just live up the road in Charlotte. She is so dear to me, words cannot describe. When I was sick in the hospital over the summer, it was nothing for her to travel to Greenville to pick up my children when I didn’t have anyone else. Shannon’s personality is infectious. She makes friends where ever she goes. If you don’t know her, I highly recommend meeting her (and her family). You won’t be disappointed.

Cousins by the Dozens
Posted on November 30, 2009
Thanksgiving was amazing. I went to Flat Rock to spend the weekend with my family. There were cousins everywhere! Some came from Florida and some came from DC. Every evening was a blast. Cards, movies, Rockband… I couldn’t ask for more.

My aunt wanted to recreate a picture she had done ten years ago.

My Florida Cousins; the Rocket Scientist and the School Teacher-To-Be.

Kim and Craig
Posted on November 17, 2009
Kim and Craig are our really cool neighbors. We all live down in the cul-de-sac. The first time we really got to know them, they threw a block party. They had snow cones and food and a movie playing on a projector on the garage door. It was awesome! Even more awesome, Kim is a photographer too! Her work is beautiful. Check it out here.
